Future Fossil (2019) is a photographic series of the sculptural body of work from For Future Generations: A plastic pollution study of Lake Erie. The fossils are visual time capsules of our current epoch speaking towards human design, innovation and more often than not waste turned pollution.

Created with found objects (freshwater plastic pollution) and resin. Molds for fossils were made from rocks Oltmer has collected throughout her life.
